Avoir un bon game sense en PvP, c’est obtenir du gear fort tôt, dépenser ses niveaux au bon moment et savoir quels upgrades apportent vraiment le plus de valeur dans une vraie partie.
EnchantingCraft prioritiesDamage value
Pourquoi enchanter tôt compte autant
The level system gets more expensive the higher your level climbs. That means early levels are cheap, later levels are expensive, and getting an enchanting table early lets you spend those cheap levels while they still cost very little.
The earlier you enchant, the earlier you can start building books, combining items in the anvil and turning fresh cave levels into real gear. That matters because combining for strong Sharpness and Protection values becomes much easier when your early-game levels were not wasted.
In practice: getting the enchanter early is not just about fighting earlier. It is also about spending levels while they are cheap and snowballing into stronger anvil value later.
Les maths de Sharpness en 1.21+
Sharpness was heavily nerfed compared to 1.8. In modern versions, the formula is 0.5 × level + 0.5, which means Sharpness I gives the biggest single jump and every level after that adds another 0.5 damage.
Sharpness I: +1.0 damage
Sharpness II: +1.5 damage
Sharpness III: +2.0 damage
Sharpness IV: +2.5 damage
Sharpness V: +3.0 damage
This makes Sharpness upgrades still very valuable offensively, especially when you are trying to finish fights faster and punish undergeared players before they reset.
Les maths de Protection et ce que cela veut vraiment dire
Each level of regular Protection gives exactly 1 EPF. The practical rule is simple: each EPF is worth 4% damage reduction against damage that has already passed through your armor.
One piece of Protection IV = 4 EPF = 16% reduction
Full Protection IV set = 16 EPF = 64% reduction
The hard cap is 20 EPF = 80%, but normal full Prot IV does not reach that by itself
In a direct comparison, one Sharpness level is far stronger offensively than one Protection level on one single armor piece. But if you upgrade the entire set, Protection wins the long fight because the value stacks across all four pieces.
Quoi craft en premier avec peu de diamants
In 1.21+, diamond armor is not only about armor points. Toughness matters a lot against stronger hits, and every diamond piece gives +2 toughness. The best upgrade order with limited diamonds is usually:
Boots or Chestplate first. Both are highly efficient. Boots are the cheapest toughness jump, chestplate gives the biggest raw armor gain.
Helmet second. Solid value for the cost.
Leggings last. They are the worst cost-to-value upgrade when diamonds are tight.
If your server situation is fast and dangerous, chestplate first is usually the safest practical choice. If resources are extremely low and you need quick toughness value, boots can be excellent.
Simple priority rules
Get the enchanter early.
Do not sit on levels forever waiting for a perfect moment.
Turn cheap early levels into enchants and books as soon as you can.
Upgrade whole armor sets steadily rather than tunnel on one fancy piece too late.
Push Sharpness when you want faster kills, but respect full-set Protection value in longer fights.
